In typical Marseille-inspired tarot decks, even with un-illustrated pips, the formation of the suit icons tend to be deliberate, intended to evoke certain intuitive messages. Here, I don’t get the sense that much metaphysical thought was given to the formation of the suit icons. In the suit of Cups, or Chalices as it’s referred to here, we see traditional Chinese imperial wine chalices. |
