That is the sweetest and most affable Queen of Swords I’ve ever seen. Der Jen’s depictions of women tend to look docile, demure, and so here, the woman in the Queen of Swords card looks nothing like the Queen of Swords that, say, A. E. Waite might describe.
The deck appears to be a hybrid, with the RWS ordering of the keys in the Majors (i.e., Key 8 is Strength and Key 11 is Justice) but then we have un-illustrated pips in the style of Marseille decks. |
